Editorial policy

ClinIndex is built on three rules that don't bend: every claim links to a primary source, every page carries the date it was last updated, and we tell you what's an ad before you read it.

How pages are written and checked

Every drug and comparison page is written from the primary sources listed below and checked against them line by line before publishing. Pages display the date they were last updated and the date of the next scheduled review. ClinIndex does not claim clinical review by a named clinician, and nothing here is a substitute for advice from your own doctor or pharmacist.

Sources

We cite primary sources inline. Our core US set is the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for product approvals and labeling, DailyMed (U.S. National Library of Medicine) for the approved label of a specific product, MedlinePlus (also NLM) for patient-facing reference, the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements for vitamins, minerals, and botanicals, NIDDK for digestive and metabolic conditions, LiverTox (NIH) for drug-induced liver injury, and the CDC for prevention guidance. We cross-reference the BNF and NICE guidelines for additional dosing detail and interactions. See the full sources index.

Corrections

Found an error? Email info@clinindex.com and we will act on it. Material clinical corrections are added to the page changelog, with the date and a short note. We will not silently edit clinical claims.

AI-assisted drafting

We use large language models to draft and edit. Every clinical claim on every page is checked against a primary source by a human before it publishes. AI is in the drafting loop. AI is not in the publishing loop.

Advertising, affiliate, and sponsored content

We may run display advertising and include affiliate links to online pharmacies, telemedicine providers, and supplement retailers (including Amazon as an Amazon Associate). Where a link is an affiliate link, the page carries a clearly labelled disclosure in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 C.F.R. Part 255). Advertising and affiliate relationships have no influence on our content.

Conflict of interest

The publisher, S5 Ltd, has no commercial relationship with any pharmacy, clinic, or pharmaceutical company beyond standard advertising and affiliate arrangements disclosed per-page.
